नैव तस्य कृतेनार्थो नाकृतेनेह कश्चन | न चास्य सर्वभूतेषु कश्चिदर्थव्यपाश्रयः
naiva tasya kṛtenārtho nākṛteneha kaścana . na cāsya sarvabhūteṣu kaścidarthavyapāśrayaḥ
అతనికి కర్మము చేయుట వలన ఈ లోకమున ఏ ప్రయోజనమును లేదు; చేయకుండుట వలన (ఏ నష్టమును) లేదు. మరియు అతనికి సమస్త ప్రాణుల యందు ఏ ప్రయోజనము కొరకును ఆధారపడవలసిన అవసరము లేదు.
For him there is no concern here at all with performing action; nor any (concern) with nonperformance. Moreover, for him there is no dependence on any object to serve any purpose.
ఆత్మయందే రమించుచున్న జ్ఞానికి ఏ కర్మము చేయుట వలన కూడా ఏ ప్రయోజనము ఉండదు. అతనికి కర్మము చేయకపోవుట వలన ఏ పాపము (ప్రత్యవాయ దోషము) అంటదు. కర్మము చేయకపోవుట వలన అతడు ఏమీ కోల్పోడు. ఏ ప్రత్యేక వస్తువును పొందడానికి అతడు ఎవరిపైనా ఆధారపడనవసరం లేదు. ఎవరి దయను పొందడానికి అతడు ప్రయత్నించనవసరం లేదు.
The sage who is thus rejoicing in the Self does not gain anything by doing any action. For him really no purpose is served by an action. No evil (Pratyavaya Dosha) can touch him from inaction. He does not lose anything from inaction. He need not depend upon anybody to gain a particular object. He need not exert himself to get the favour of anybody.
