यस्त्वात्मरतिरेव स्यादात्मतृप्तश्च मानवः | आत्मन्येव च सन्तुष्टस्तस्य कार्यं न विद्यते
yastvātmaratireva syādātmatṛptaśca mānavaḥ . ātmanyeva ca santuṣṭastasya kāryaṃ na vidyate
ఎవడైతే మానవుడు ఆత్మయందే రమించువాడై, ఆత్మయందే తృప్తి పొందినవాడై, ఆత్మయందే సంతుష్టుడై ఉండునో, అతనికి చేయదగిన కర్మము ఏదియు ఉండదు.
But that man who rejoices only in theSelf and is satisfied with the Self, and is contented only in the Self-for him there is no duty to perform.
జ్ఞాని తన ఆనందము కొరకు బాహ్య వస్తువులపై ఆధారపడడు. అతడు ఆత్మయందే సంపూర్ణ తృప్తిని పొందుతాడు. అతడు తన ఆత్మలోనే ఆనందాన్ని, తృప్తిని, సంతృప్తిని పొందుతాడు. అటువంటి ఆత్మజ్ఞాని అయిన జ్ఞానికి చేయవలసిన పని ఏదీ ఉండదు. అతడు ఇప్పటికే అన్ని కర్మలను పూర్తి చేసుకున్నాడు. అతడు తన కోరికలన్నింటినీ తీర్చుకున్నాడు. అతనికి సంపూర్ణ సంతృప్తి ఉంది.
The sage does not depend on external objects for his happiness. He is ite satisfied with the Self. He finds his joy? bliss and contentment within his own Self. For such a sage who has knowledge of the Self? there is nothing to do. He has already done all actions. He has satisfied all his desires. He has complete satisfaction. (Cf.II.55).
