आढ्योऽभिजनवानस्मि कोऽन्योऽस्ति सदृशो मया | यक्ष्ये दास्यामि मोदिष्य इत्यज्ञानविमोहिताः
āḍhyo.abhijanavānasmi ko.anyo.asti sadṛśo mayā . yakṣye dāsyāmi modiṣya ityajñānavimohitāḥ
«Я богат и знатен; кто другой подобен мне? Я совершу жертвоприношения, я дам (дары), я буду радоваться», – так они, ослеплённые неведением (аджнана), пребывают в заблуждении.
'I am rich and high-born; who else is there similar to me? I shall perform sacrifices; I shall give, I shall rejoice,'-thus they are diversely deluded by non-discrimination.
Такие люди считают себя несравнимо богаче и знатнее даже Куберы или Вишну, а свою семью и род — превосходящими даже Брахму. Они полагают, что никто в мире не равен им. Они совершают многочисленные жертвоприношения ради славы, раздают дары тем, кто развлекает их танцами, музыкой и хвалебными песнями, и предаются еде, питью и женщинам. Все эти действия проистекают из их неведения и отсутствия различения, что приводит их к глубокому заблуждению.
