ये यथा मां प्रपद्यन्ते तांस्तथैव भजाम्यहम् | मम वर्त्मानुवर्तन्ते मनुष्याः पार्थ सर्वशः
ye yathā māṃ prapadyante tāṃstathaiva bhajāmyaham . mama vartmānuvartante manuṣyāḥ pārtha sarvaśaḥ
ఓ పార్థా, నన్ను ఏ విధంగా ఆశ్రయిస్తారో, వారిని నేను ఆ విధంగానే అనుగ్రహిస్తాను. మనుష్యులు అన్ని విధాలా నా మార్గాన్నే అనుసరిస్తారు.
According to the manner in which they approach Me, I favour them in that very manner. O son of Partha, human beings follow My path in every way.
మనుష్యులు నన్ను ఏ మార్గంలో, ఏ ఉద్దేశ్యంతో ఆశ్రయిస్తారో, వారి కోరికలకు అనుగుణంగా నేను వారికి ప్రతిఫలమిస్తాను. స్వార్థపూరిత కోరికలతో ఎవరైనా నన్ను పూజిస్తే, వారికి ఆ కోరికలను తీరుస్తాను. ఆత్మజ్ఞానం పొందాలనే నిస్వార్థ ఉద్దేశ్యంతో నన్ను పూజిస్తే, వారికి మోక్షాన్ని లేదా అంతిమ విముక్తిని ప్రసాదిస్తాను. నేను ఎవరి పట్ల పక్షపాతం చూపను.
I reward men by bestowing on them the objects they desire in accordance with their ways and the motives with which they seek Me. If anyone worships Me with selfish motives I grant him the objects he desires. If he worships Me unselfishly for attaining knowledge of the Self? I grant him Moksha or final liberation. I am not at all partial to anyone. (Cf.VII.21andIX.23).
