daṃṣṭrākarālāni ca te mukhāni dṛṣṭvaiva kālānalasannibhāni . diśo na jāne na labhe ca śarma prasīda deveśa jagannivāsa
కోరలతో భయంకరమైన, ప్రళయాగ్ని వంటి నీ ముఖాలను చూసి, నాకు దిక్కులు తెలియడం లేదు, శాంతిని పొందలేకపోతున్నాను. ఓ దేవేశా! జగన్నివాసా! ప్రసన్నుడవు కమ్ము.
Having merely seen Your mouths made terrible with (their) teeth and resembling the fire of Dissolution, I have lost the sense of direction and find no comfort. Be gracious, O Lord of gods, O Abode of the Universe.
జగన్నివాస అంటే విశ్వానికి ఆధారమైనవాడు. కాలానల అంటే ప్రళయ సమయంలో లోకాలను దహించే అగ్ని. కాలం (కాలా) వ్యక్తమైన ప్రతిదాన్ని వినియోగించేది. దిశో న జానే అంటే నాకు నాలుగు దిక్కులు తెలియడం లేదు, తూర్పును పడమర నుండి, ఉత్తరాన్ని దక్షిణం నుండి వేరు చేయలేకపోతున్నాను.
