कुलक्षये प्रणश्यन्ति कुलधर्माः सनातनाः | धर्मे नष्टे कुलं कृत्स्नमधर्मोऽभिभवत्युत
kulakṣaye praṇaśyanti kuladharmāḥ sanātanāḥ . dharme naṣṭe kulaṃ kṛtsnamadharmo.abhibhavatyuta
కులక్షయం వల్ల సనాతనమైన కులధర్మాలు నశించిపోతాయి. ధర్మం నశించినప్పుడు, అధర్మం మొత్తం కులాన్ని ఆవహిస్తుంది.
From the ruin of the family are totally destroyed the traditional rites and duties of the family. When rites and duties are destroyed, vice overpowers the entire family also.
ధర్మం అంటే శాస్త్రాల ఆదేశాల ప్రకారం కుటుంబం ఆచరించే విధులు మరియు ఆచారాలు. కులధర్మాలు నశించడం వల్ల సమాజంలో అధర్మం ప్రబలి, అరాచకత్వం ఏర్పడుతుందని అర్జునుడు ఆందోళన చెందుతున్నాడు.
Dharma -- the duties and ceremonies practised by the family in accordance with the injunctions of the scriptures.
