श्रीभगवानुवाच | पार्थ नैवेह नामुत्र विनाशस्तस्य विद्यते | न हि कल्याणकृत्कश्चिद् दुर्गतिं तात गच्छति
śrībhagavānuvāca . pārtha naiveha nāmutra vināśastasya vidyate . na hi kalyāṇakṛtkaścid durgatiṃ tāta gacchati
శ్రీ భగవానుడు పలికెను: ఓ పార్థా! అట్టి యోగభ్రష్టునికి ఇహలోకమున గాని, పరలోకమున గాని వినాశనము లేదు. శుభకరమైన కర్మలు చేయువాడెవ్వడూ దుర్గతిని పొందడు కదా, నాయనా!
The Blessed Lord said O Partha, there is certainly no ruin for him here or hereafter. For, no one engaged in good meets with a deplorable end, My son!
శ్రీకృష్ణుడు అర్జునుడి సందేహాన్ని నివృత్తి చేస్తూ, యోగమార్గంలో ప్రవేశించి, దానిని పూర్తి చేయలేకపోయినప్పటికీ, ఆ వ్యక్తికి ఎటువంటి నాశనమూ ఉండదని స్పష్టం చేస్తున్నాడు. శుభకరమైన కర్మలు చేసేవాడు ఎన్నటికీ దుర్గతిని పొందడని భగవానుడు హామీ ఇస్తున్నాడు.
He who has not succeeded in attaining to perfection in Yoga in this birth will not be destroyed in this world or in the next world. Surely he will not take a birth lower than the present one. What will he attain, then? This is described by the Lord in verses 41, 42, 43 and 44. Tata: son. A disciple is regarded as a son.
