భగవద్గీత 16.20

ఈ అధమ అసురులు జన్మ జన్మలకూ అసురీ యోనులలో జన్మిస్తారు. వారు అత్యంత నికృష్టమైన స్థితికి, భయంకరమైన దుస్థితికి దిగజారిపోతారు. వారు తీవ్రమైన చీకటిలోకి నెట్టబడతారు. వారి స్వంత రాక్షస కోరికలు, కర్మలు మరియు తీవ్రమైన తామస స్వభావం కారణంగా వారు దిగువ మరియు మరింత దిగువ యోనులలో పడతారు. ఉదాహరణకు, పులి జన్మ నుండి సర్ప జన్మ, సర్ప జన్మ నుండి పురుగు జన్మ, దాని నుండి వృక్ష జన్మ మొదలైనవి పొందుతారు. సంస్కృతంలో 'తర' అనేది తులనాత్మక డిగ్రీని, 'తమ' అనేది అత్యున్నత డిగ్రీని సూచిస్తుంది. ఈ వ్యక్తులు నికృష్టతమ యోనులను (అత్యంత అధమ జన్మలను) పొందుతారు. వారి మనస్సులు అపవిత్రతతో నిండి ఉండటం వల్ల, శాస్త్రాల ఆదేశాలకు అనుగుణంగా ధర్మ మార్గంలో నడవకపోవడం వల్ల వారు నన్ను చేరలేరు. రాక్షస స్వభావం ఆధ్యాత్మిక ప్రగతికి విరుద్ధం. కాబట్టి, దివ్య గుణాలను పెంపొందించుకోవడం ద్వారా మరియు నిరంతర ధ్యానం ద్వారా దుష్ట ప్రవృత్తులను నాశనం చేయాలి. అప్పుడు మాత్రమే మోక్షం లభిస్తుంది.

These degraded Asuras are cast into the demoniacal wombs. They are reduced to the very lowest condition or the most appalling state. They are cast into utter darkness. They fall into lower and yet lower wombs in response to their own satanic desires and actions and their extreme Tamasic nature. From the birth of a tiger? they will get the birth of a serpent from a serpents they will get the birth of a wormfrom that they will get the birth of a tree? etc. In Sanskrit the suffix Tara denotes comparative degree and Tama is superlative degree. These people get Nikrishtatama Yonis (the lowest wombs).They do not reach Me as their minds are filled with impurities? as they do not tread the path of righteousness in accordance with the injunctions of the scriptures. The diabolical nature is inimical to spiritual progress. Therefore? you will have to annihilate the evil tendencies by cultivating divine alities and the practice of regular meditation. Then and only then will you attain liberation.
