उच्चैःश्रवसमश्वानां विद्धि माममृतोद्भवम् | ऐरावतं गजेन्द्राणां नराणां च नराधिपम्
uccaiḥśravasamaśvānāṃ viddhi māmamṛtodbhavam . airāvataṃ gajendrāṇāṃ narāṇāṃ ca narādhipam
అశ్వాలలో అమృతం నుండి పుట్టిన ఉచ్చైశ్రవస్సును నన్నుగా తెలుసుకో. గజేంద్రులలో ఐరావతమును; నరులలో నరాధిపుడను (రాజును).
Among horses, know Me to be Uccaihsravas, born of nectar; Airavata among the lordly elephants; and among men, the Kind of men. [Uccaihsravas and Airavata are respectively the divine horse and elephant of Indra.]
దేవతలు పాల సముద్రాన్ని మథించినప్పుడు అమృతం లభించింది. అమృతం కోసం పాల సముద్రాన్ని మథించినప్పుడు ఆ సముద్రం నుండి పుట్టిన రాజ అశ్వం పేరు ఉచ్చైశ్రవస్సు. ఐరావతం ఇరావతి సంతానం, పాల సముద్రాన్ని మథించిన సమయంలో పుట్టిన ఇంద్రుని ఏనుగు.
