न मां कर्माणि लिम्पन्ति न मे कर्मफले स्पृहा | इति मां योऽभिजानाति कर्मभिर्न स बध्यते
na māṃ karmāṇi limpanti na me karmaphale spṛhā . iti māṃ yo.abhijānāti karmabhirna sa badhyate
Handlungen beflecken Mich nicht; noch habe Ich Verlangen nach den Früchten der Handlungen. Wer Mich so kennt, wird nicht durch Handlungen gebunden.
Actions do not taint Me; for Me there is no hankering for the results of actions. One who knows Me thus, does not become bound by actions.
Da Ich weder Egoismus noch Verlangen nach Früchten habe, bin Ich nicht durch Handlungen gebunden. Weltliche Menschen denken, sie seien die Handelnden und führen Handlungen aus. Sie erwarten auch Früchte für ihre Handlungen. So werden sie immer wieder geboren. Wenn man ohne Anhaftung, ohne Egoismus, ohne Erwartung von Früchten handelt, wird man ebenfalls nicht durch Handlungen gebunden. Man wird von Geburt und Tod befreit. (Vgl. IX.9).
As I have neither egoism nor desire for fruits? I am not bound by actions. Wordly people think they are the agents and they perfrom actions. They also expect fruits for their actions. So they take birth again and again. If one works without attachment? without egoism? without expectation of fruits? he too will not be bound by actions. He will be freed from birth and death. (Cf.IX.9).
