अन्नाद्भवन्ति भूतानि पर्जन्यादन्नसम्भवः | यज्ञाद्भवति पर्जन्यो यज्ञः कर्मसमुद्भवः
annādbhavanti bhūtāni parjanyādannasambhavaḥ . yajñādbhavati parjanyo yajñaḥ karmasamudbhavaḥ
眾生由食物而生;食物源於降雨;降雨源於祭祀;而祭祀則源於行動(karma)。
From food are born the creatures; the origin of food is from rainfall; rainfall originates from sacrifice; sacrifice has action as its origin.
此處的「Yajna」(祭祀)意指「Apurva」,即祭祀在完成與其果報顯現之間所呈現的微妙原則或無形形式,它是一種無形的力量,確保祭祀的結果得以實現。
Here Yajna means Apurva or the subtle principle or the unseen form which a sacrifice assumes between the time of its performance and the time when its fruits manifest themselves.
