तद्विद्धि प्रणिपातेन परिप्रश्नेन सेवया | उपदेक्ष्यन्ति ते ज्ञानं ज्ञानिनस्तत्त्वदर्शिनः
tadviddhi praṇipātena paripraśnena sevayā . upadekṣyanti te jñānaṃ jñāninastattvadarśinaḥ
你要通过顶礼、提问和侍奉来求知。那些洞见真理的智者，将会把知识传授给你。
Know that through prostration, iniry and service. The wise ones who have realized the Truth will impart the Knowledge to you.
去寻求上师（Guru）——那些精通梵（Brahman）经典（Brahmasrotris）并安住于梵（Brahmanishthas）的人。以深切的谦卑和完美的虔诚向他们顶礼。向他们提问：尊敬的上师，束缚的原因是什么？我如何才能获得解脱？无明的本质是什么？知识的本质是什么？获得自我了悟（Self-realisation）的内在灵性修习（AntarangaSadhana）是什么？全心全意地侍奉上师。一位精通经典（Sastras）但没有直接自我了悟的老师，将无法帮助你获得自我知识。而那些既有经典知识又安住于梵的人，才能指导你获得那份知识，并帮助你实现自我了悟。仅仅顶礼是不够的，那可能带有虚伪。你必须对你的上师和他的教导有完美的信心，并以极大的虔诚全心侍奉他。如此，虚伪便不可能存在。
Go to the teachers (those who are well versed in the scriptures dealing with Brahman or Brahmasrotris? and who are established in Brahman or Brahmanishthas). Prostrate yourself before them with profound humility and perfect devotion. Ask them estions? O venerable Guru What is the cause of bondage How can I get liberation What is the nature of ignorance What is the nature of knowledge What is the AntarangaSadhana (inward spiritual practice) for attaining Selfrealisation Serve the Guru wholeheartedly. A teacher who is versed in the scriptures (Sastras) but who has no direct Selfrealisaiton will not be able to help you in the attainment of the knowledge of the Self. He who has knowledge of the scriptures and who is also established in Brahman will be able to instruct thee in that knowledge and help thee in the attainment of Selfrealisation. Mere prostrations alone will not do. They may be tinged with hypocrisy. You must have perfect faith in your Guru and his teaching. You must serve him wholeheartedly with great devotion. Now hypocrisy is not possible.
