महात्मानस्तु मां पार्थ दैवीं प्रकृतिमाश्रिताः | भजन्त्यनन्यमनसो ज्ञात्वा भूतादिमव्ययम्
mahātmānastu māṃ pārtha daivīṃ prakṛtimāśritāḥ . bhajantyananyamanaso jñātvā bhūtādimavyayam
اے پارتھ! وہ مہاتما جو دیوی فطرت کے حامل ہیں، مجھے تمام مخلوقات کا غیر فانی سرچشمہ جان کر یکسوئی سے میری عبادت کرتے ہیں۔
O son of Prtha, the noble ones, being possessed of divine nature, surely adore Me with single-mindedness, knowing Me as the immutable source of all objects.
`جناتوا بھوتادیم اوییم` کا ایک اور مفہوم یہ ہے کہ مجھے تمام مخلوقات کا سرچشمہ یا مبدأ اور غیر فانی جان کر۔ `دیوی پرکرتی` سے مراد الٰہی یا ساتوِک فطرت ہے۔ وہ لوگ جو الٰہی فطرت سے مالا مال ہیں اور جو ضبط نفس، رحم، ایمان، پاکیزگی وغیرہ رکھتے ہیں۔ `مہاتما` یا بلند روح والے وہ ہیں جن کے پاکیزہ ذہنوں کو میں نے اپنا خاص ٹھکانہ بنایا ہے۔ میں بلند روح والوں کے پاکیزہ ذہنوں میں رہتا ہوں۔ ان کی مجھ سے سچی عقیدت ہے۔ وہ لوگ جو الٰہی ساتوِک فطرت رکھتے ہیں، جن کے پاس پاکیزہ ذہن ہے، اور جو `آتما` کا علم رکھتے ہیں، وہ `مہاتما` ہیں۔ `بھوتاس` سے مراد تمام جاندار اور پانچ عناصر ہیں۔
Jnatva Bhutadimavyayam There is another interpretation -- knowing Me to be the source or the origin of beings and imperishable.Daivim Prakritim Divine or Sattvic nature. Those who are endowed with divine nature? and who possess selfrestraint? mercy? faith? purity? etc.Mahatmanah Or? the highsouled ones are those whose pure minds have been made by Me? as My special abode. I dwell in the pure minds of the highsouled ones. They have sincere devotion to Me. Those who possess divine Sattvic nature? who are endowed with a pure mind? and who have knowledge of the Self are Mahatmas.Bhutas All living beings? as well as the five elements.
