श्रीभगवानुवाच | इमं विवस्वते योगं प्रोक्तवानहमव्ययम् | विवस्वान्मनवे प्राह मनुरिक्ष्वाकवेऽब्रवीत्
śrībhagavānuvāca . imaṃ vivasvate yogaṃ proktavānahamavyayam . vivasvānmanave prāha manurikṣvākave.abravīt
ஸ்ரீ பகவான் கூறினார்: நான் இந்த அழிவற்ற யோகத்தை விவஸ்வானுக்கு உபதேசித்தேன். விவஸ்வான் மனுவுக்கு உபதேசித்தார், மனு இக்ஷ்வாகுவுக்கு கூறினார்.
The Blessed Lord said I imparted this imperishable Yoga to Vivasvan, Vivasvan taught this to Manu, and Manu transmitted this to Iksavaku.
விவஸ்வான் என்பது சூரியனைக் குறிக்கும். இக்ஷ்வாகு மனுவின் மகன். அவர் க்ஷத்திரியர்களின் சூரிய வம்சத்தின் புகழ்பெற்ற மூதாதையர். இந்த யோகத்தின் மூலம் அடையப்படும் பலன் அல்லது மோக்ஷம் அழிவற்றது என்பதால், இது அழிவற்ற யோகம் என்று கூறப்படுகிறது. முந்தைய இரண்டு அத்தியாயங்களில் நான் போதித்த யோகத்தைப் பற்றி ஆட்சி செய்பவர்கள் அறிந்திருந்தால், அவர்கள் பிராமணர்களைப் பாதுகாத்து தங்கள் ராஜ்யத்தை நீதியுடன் ஆள முடியும். எனவே, படைப்பின் தொடக்கத்தில் நான் இந்த யோகத்தை சூரியதேவனுக்கு உபதேசித்தேன்.
Vivasvan means the sun. Ikshvaku was the son of Manu. Ikshvaku was the reputed ancestor of the solar dynasty of Kshatriyas.This Yoga is said to be imperishable because the result or fruit? i.e.? Moksha? that can be attained through it is imperishable.If the rulers of dominions possess a knowledge of the Yoga taught by Me in the preceding two discourses? they can protect the Brahmanas and rule their kingdom with justice. So I taught this Yoga to the Sungod in the beginning of evolution.
