मत्तः परतरं नान्यत्किञ्चिदस्ति धनञ्जय | मयि सर्वमिदं प्रोतं सूत्रे मणिगणा इव
mattaḥ parataraṃ nānyatkiñcidasti dhanañjaya . mayi sarvamidaṃ protaṃ sūtre maṇigaṇā iva
ഹേ ധനഞ്ജയാ, എന്നെക്കാൾ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായി മറ്റൊന്നുമില്ല. ഈ കാണുന്നതെല്ലാം ഒരു നൂലിൽ മുത്തുകൾ എന്നപോലെ എന്നിൽ കോർത്തിണക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
O Dhananjaya, there is nothing else whatsoever higher than Myself. All this is strung on Me like pearls on a string.
ഈ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിന് എന്നെ അല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു കാരണമില്ല. ഈ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിന്റെ ഏക കാരണം ഞാനാണ്. രത്നങ്ങളെയും നൂലിനെയും കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഈ ഉദാഹരണം, എല്ലാ ജീവജാലങ്ങളും ലോകം മുഴുവനും ഭഗവാനിൽ കോർത്തിണക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന ആശയം മാത്രമാണ് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നത്. നൂൽ രത്നങ്ങളുടെ കാരണമല്ല. ബ്രഹ്മം സർവ്വവും ആയതുകൊണ്ട് അതിനേക്കാൾ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായി മറ്റൊന്നുമില്ല.
There is no other cause of the universe but Me. I alone am the the cause of the universe. This illustration of gems and thread illustrates only the idea that all beings and the whole world are threaded on the Lord. The thread is not the cause of the gems. As Brahman is all in all there is nothing whatever higher than It.
