अन्ये त्वेवमजानन्तः श्रुत्वान्येभ्य उपासते | तेऽपि चातितरन्त्येव मृत्युं श्रुतिपरायणाः
anye tvevamajānantaḥ śrutvānyebhya upāsate . te.api cātitarantyeva mṛtyuṃ śrutiparāyaṇāḥ
D'autres encore, ne connaissant pas ainsi, s'adonnent à la contemplation après avoir entendu d'autrui ; eux aussi, qui sont dévoués à l'écoute (des Écritures ou des maîtres), franchissent certainement la mort.
Others, agian, who do not know thus, take to thinking after hearing from others; they, too, who are devoted to hearing, certainly overcome death.
Les trois chemins, à savoir le Yoga de la méditation, le Yoga de la connaissance et le Yoga de l'action pour atteindre la connaissance du Soi, ont été décrits dans le verset précédent. Dans ce verset, le Yoga de l'adoration est décrit. Certains, ignorants des méthodes décrites dans le verset précédent, écoutent les enseignements des précepteurs spirituels concernant cette grande Vérité ou le Soi avec une foi intense et inébranlable, se fiant uniquement à l'autorité des instructions d'autrui, et par un souvenir et une contemplation constants de celles-ci, ils atteignent l'immortalité. Ils sont dévoués à leur précepteur. Certains étudient les livres écrits par des voyants réalisés, adhèrent avec une grande foi aux enseignements qu'ils contiennent et vivent selon eux. Eux aussi surmontent la mort. Quel que soit le chemin que l'on suit, on atteint finalement la connaissance du Soi et la libération finale de la naissance et de la mort – le salut (Moksha). Il existe plusieurs chemins pour convenir aux aspirants de différents tempéraments et capacités. Se libérer de l'ignorance et de ses effets par la connaissance du Soi, c'est traverser le Samsara ou atteindre l'immortalité ou surmonter la mort ou obtenir la libération ou le salut.
The three paths? viz.? the Yoga of meditation? the Yoga of knowledge? and the Yoga of action to attain the knowledge of the Self were described in the previous verse. In this verse the Yoga of worship is described.Some who are ignorant of the methods described in the previous verse listen to the teachings of the spiritual preceptors regarding this great Truth or the Self with intense and unshakable faith? solely depending upon the authority of others instructions? and through constant remembrance and contemplation of them attain immortality. They are devoted to their preceptor. Some study the books written by realised seers? stick with great faith to the teachings contained therein and live according to them. They also overcome death. Whichever path one follows? one eventually attains the knowledge of the Self and final liberation from birth and death? -- salvation (Moksha). There are several paths to suit aspirants of different temperaments and eipments.Freeing oneself from ignorance with its effects through the knowledge of the Self? is crossing the Samsara or attaining immortality or overcoming death or obtaining release or salvation.
