अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम् | परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम्
avajānanti māṃ mūḍhā mānuṣīṃ tanumāśritam . paraṃ bhāvamajānanto mama bhūtamaheśvaram
تمام مخلوقات کے پربھو کے طور پر میری اعلیٰ فطرت کو نہ جانتے ہوئے، احمق لوگ مجھے حقیر سمجھتے ہیں جنہوں نے انسانی جسم اختیار کیا ہے۔
Not knowing My supreme nature as the Lord of all beings, foolish people disregard Me who have taken a human body.
احمق لوگ صرف میری پاکیزہ فطرت میں عیب نکالتے ہیں، جیسے یرقان زدہ آنکھوں والا شخص تمام اشیاء کو پیلا دیکھتا ہے۔ وہ شخص جو بخار میں مبتلا ہو، دودھ کو بھی نیم کے جوہر کی طرح کڑوا محسوس کرتا ہے۔ جو لوگ مجھے جسمانی آنکھوں سے دیکھنا چاہتے ہیں، وہ مجھے نہیں جان سکتے۔ اگر کوئی سراب کو گنگا سمجھ لے، تو کیا اسے وہاں پانی ملے گا؟ احمق جن میں تمیز اور صحیح سمجھ نہیں ہے، وہ مجھے حقیر سمجھتے ہیں، جو انسانی شکل میں رہتا ہوں۔ میں نے یہ جسم اپنے بھکتوں کو برکت دینے کے لیے اختیار کیا ہے۔ ان احمقوں کو میری اعلیٰ ہستی کا علم نہیں ہے۔ وہ نہیں جانتے کہ میں عظیم پربھو، اعلیٰ آتما، روشن، ہمہ دان، پاکیزہ، ہمیشہ آزاد، لافانی، دانا، سب کی آتما ہوں۔ یہ احمق مجھے ایک عام فانی انسان سمجھتے ہیں اور ہمیشہ مجھے حقیر سمجھتے ہیں۔ دانا لوگ میری ماورائی فطرت اور میری ظاہری شکل کی شان دونوں کو جانتے ہیں۔ میں کائنات میں پھیلا ہوا ہوں، سرایت کر چکا ہوں اور اس میں گھس چکا ہوں۔ میں اس دنیا، جسم، ذہن، زندگی کی قوت اور حواس کا سہارا ہوں، اور پھر بھی کچھ بدقسمت احمق ہیں جو کہتے ہیں کہ میں موجود نہیں ہوں۔ اس طرح کہیں بھی ایسی جگہ نہیں ہے جہاں میں نہ ہوں، اور پھر بھی یہ لوگ مجھے دیکھنے سے قاصر ہیں۔ ان لوگوں کی بدقسمتی دیکھو۔ ان کا حال قابل رحم ہے۔ (موازنہ کریں: IV.6؛ VII.24)
Fools only find fault with My pure nature? just as a man with jaundiced eyes finds all objects to be yellow. The man who is suffering from fever finds even milk as bitter as the essence of neem. Those who wish to behold Me by means of the physical eyes cannot know Me. If anyone takes the mirage for the Ganga? can he find any water thereFools who do not have discrimination and right understanding despise Me? dwelling in the human form. I have taken this body to bless My devotees. These fools have no knowledge of My higher Being. They do not know that I am the great Lord? the Supreme SElf? the luminous? omniscient? pure? ever free? immortal? wise? the Self of all. These fools take Me for an ordinary mortal and despise Me always. The wise know both My transcendental nature and the glory of My manifestation.I pervade? permeate and interpenetrate the universe. I am the support of this world? body? mind? lifeforce and the senses and yet there are some miserable fools? who say that I do not exist. There is thus not a place anywhere where I am not? and yet these people are not able to see Me. Look at the misfortune of these people. Pitiable is their lot (Cf.IV.6VII.24)
