पिताहमस्य जगतो माता धाता पितामहः | वेद्यं पवित्रमोंकार ऋक्साम यजुरेव च
pitāhamasya jagato mātā dhātā pitāmahaḥ . vedyaṃ pavitramoṃkāra ṛksāma yajureva ca
Ich bin der Vater dieser Welt, die Mutter, der Erhalter und der Großvater. Ich bin das Wissenswerte, das Heilige, die Silbe Om sowie Ṛk, Sāma und Yajus.
Of this world I am the father, mother, ordainer, (and the), grand-father; I am the knowable, the sancitifier, the syllable Om as also Rk, Sama and Yajus.
Dhātā bedeutet der Erhalter oder der Spender der Früchte der Handlungen. Īśvara oder das Saguṇa Brahman ist der Vater. Mūla-Prakṛti oder die ursprüngliche Natur ist die Mutter. Das reine Sat-Cit-Ānanda Para Brahman (Existenz-Bewusstsein-Glückseligkeit Absolut) ist der Großvater. Vedyam ist das Eine, das gewusst werden muss, das Höchste Wesen. Pavitram ist der Reiniger; Ich bin in der Form eines Bades im heiligen Fluss Gangā und des Gāyatrī Japa, die die Aspiranten äußerlich und innerlich reinigen.
