कर्मेन्द्रियाणि संयम्य य आस्ते मनसा स्मरन् | इन्द्रियार्थान्विमूढात्मा मिथ्याचारः स उच्यते

Wer die Handlungsorgane zurückhält, aber mit dem Geist die Sinnesobjekte erinnert, dessen Seele ist getäuscht; er wird ein Heuchler genannt.
One, who after withdrawing the organs of action, sits mentally recollecting the objects of the senses, that one, of deluded mind, is called a hypocrite.
Die fünf Handlungsorgane, Karma-Indriyas, sind Vāk (Sprechorgan), Pāṇi (Hände), Pādam (Füße), Upastha (Genitalien) und Guda (Anus). Sie entstehen aus dem rajasischen Anteil der fünf Tanmātras oder subtilen Elemente: Vāk aus dem Ākāśa-Tanmātra (Äther), Pāṇi aus dem Vāyu-Tanmātra (Luft), Pādam aus dem Agni-Tanmātra (Feuer), Upastha aus dem Apas-Tanmātra (Wasser) und Guda aus dem Pṛthivī-Tanmātra (Erde). Ein Mensch, der die Handlungsorgane zurückhält, aber in seinem Geist Gedanken über die Sinnesobjekte wälzt, ist ein Mensch mit sündhaftem Verhalten. Er ist selbstgetäuscht. Er ist ein wahrer Heuchler. Die Handlungsorgane müssen kontrolliert werden. Die Gedanken sollten ebenfalls kontrolliert werden. Der Geist sollte fest auf den Herrn gerichtet sein. Nur dann wird man ein wahrer Yogi. Nur dann wird man zur Selbsterkenntnis gelangen.
The five organs of action? Karma Indriyas? are Vak (organ of speech)? Pani (hands)? Padam (feet)? Upastha (genitals) and Guda (anus). They are born of the Rajasic portion of the five Tanmatras or subtle elements Vak from the Akasa Tanmatra (ether)? Pani from the Vayu Tanmatra (air)? Padam from the Agni Tanmatra (fire)? Upastha from the Apas Tanmatra (water)? and Guda from the Prithivi Tanmatra (earth). That man who? restraining the organs of action? sits revolving in his mind thoughts regarding the objects of the senses is a man of sinful conduct. He is selfdeluded. He is a veritable hypocrite.The organs of action must be controlled. The thoughts should also be controlled. The mind should be firmly fixed on the Lord. Only then will you become a true Yogi. Only then will you attain to Selfrealisation.
