तस्माद्यस्य महाबाहो निगृहीतानि सर्वशः | इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थेभ्यस्तस्य प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठिता
tasmādyasya mahābāho nigṛhītāni sarvaśaḥ . indriyāṇīndriyārthebhyastasya prajñā pratiṣṭhitā
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಓ ಮಹಾಬಾಹೋ, ಯಾವಾತನ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಂದ ಹಿಂತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆಯೋ, ಅವನ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
Therefore, O mighty-armed one, this wisdom becomes established whose organs in all their varieties are withdrawn from their objects.
ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಮನಸ್ಸು ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದು ಗಾಳಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಪದಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಯೋಗಿಯು ಈಗ ಆತ್ಮನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
When the senses are completely controlled? the mind cannot wander wildly in the sensual grooves. It becomes steady like the lamp in a windless place. The Yogi is now established in the Self and his knowledge is steady. (Cf.III.7).
