न हि प्रपश्यामि ममापनुद्याद् यच्छोकमुच्छोषणमिन्द्रियाणाम् | अवाप्य भूमावसपत्नमृद्धं राज्यं सुराणामपि चाधिपत्यम्
na hi prapaśyāmi mamāpanudyād yacchokamucchoṣaṇamindriyāṇām . avāpya bhūmāvasapatnamṛddhaṃ rājyaṃ surāṇāmapi cādhipatyam
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಈ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಶತ್ರುರಹಿತವಾದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರೂ ಸಹ, ನನ್ನ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಡುವ ನನ್ನ ಶೋಕವನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸಬಲ್ಲದು ಯಾವುದು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Because, I do not see that which can, even after aciring on this earth a prosperous kingdom free from enemies and even sovereignty over the gods, remove my sorrow (which is) blasting the senses.
ನನ್ನ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಡುವ ನನ್ನ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು, ಈ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಶತ್ರುರಹಿತವಾದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರೂ ಸಹ, ಯಾವುದು ನಿವಾರಿಸಬಲ್ಲದು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
. I do not clearly see what would drive out my grief, the scorcher of my sense-organs, even after achieving, a prosperous and unrivalled kingship in this earth and also the overlordship of the gods [in the heaven].
