यः सर्वत्रानभिस्नेहस्तत्तत्प्राप्य शुभाशुभम् | नाभिनन्दति न द्वेष्टि तस्य प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठिता
yaḥ sarvatrānabhisnehastattatprāpya śubhāśubham . nābhinandati na dveṣṭi tasya prajñā pratiṣṭhitā
ಯಾವನು ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲೂ ಯಾವುದೇ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಾಸಕ್ತನಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಶುಭ ಅಥವಾ ಅಶುಭವಾದುದನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಾಗ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡದೆ, ದ್ವೇಷಿಸದೆ ಇರುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಅವನ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
The wisdom of that person remains established who has not attachment for anything anywhere, who neither welcomes nor rejects anything whatever good or bad when he comes across it.
ಸ್ಥಿತಪ್ರಜ್ಞನಾದ ಋಷಿಯು ಸಮಚಿತ್ತನಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನು ಸುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ದುಃಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹನೆ ತೋರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿರಾಸಕ್ತನಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ಅಥವಾ ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನೊಂದಿಗೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವನ ಅಥವಾ ದೇಹದ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಯಾವುದೇ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಹೊಗಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ದೂಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ಸ್ಥಿತಪ್ರಜ್ಞನು ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂಬ ಅರ್ಜುನನ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಭಗವಂತನು ನೀಡಿದ ಉತ್ತರ.
The sage possesses poised understanding or evenness of mind. He does not rejoice in pleasure nor is he averse to pain that may befall him. He is ite indifferent as he is rooted in the Self. He has no attachment even for his life or body as he identifies himself with Brahman or the Supreme Self.
