अयनेषु च सर्वेषु यथाभागमवस्थिताः | भीष्ममेवाभिरक्षन्तु भवन्तः सर्व एव हि
ayaneṣu ca sarveṣu yathābhāgamavasthitāḥ . bhīṣmamevābhirakṣantu bhavantaḥ sarva eva hi
Cependant, ô vénérables seigneurs, vous tous sans exception, tout en occupant les positions qui vous ont été assignées dans les différentes directions, protégez pleinement Bhishma en particulier.
However, venerable sirs, all of you without exception, while occupying all the positions in the different directions as alloted (to you respectively), please fully protect Bhisma in particular.
Ce verset est prononcé par Duryodhana, qui exhorte ses commandants à protéger Bhishma, le commandant suprême de l'armée des Kaurava, soulignant ainsi son importance stratégique.
