यत्र काले त्वनावृत्तिमावृत्तिं चैव योगिनः | प्रयाता यान्ति तं कालं वक्ष्यामि भरतर्षभ
yatra kāle tvanāvṛttimāvṛttiṃ caiva yoginaḥ . prayātā yānti taṃ kālaṃ vakṣyāmi bharatarṣabha
ഹേ ഭരതവംശശ്രേഷ്ഠാ, യോഗികൾ ദേഹത്യാഗം ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ പുനരാഗമനമില്ലാത്ത അവസ്ഥയെ പ്രാപിക്കുന്ന കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും, തിരികെ വരുന്ന അവസ്ഥയെ പ്രാപിക്കുന്ന കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ പറയാം.
O best of the Bharata dynasty, I shall now speak of that time by departing at which the yogis attain the State of Non-return, and also (of the time by departing at which they attain) the State of Return.
ഭരതവംശത്തിലെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനായ അർജ്ജുനാ, യോഗികൾ ശരീരം ത്യജിക്കുമ്പോൾ പുനർജന്മം ഇല്ലാത്ത അവസ്ഥയെ പ്രാപിക്കുന്ന കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും, പുനർജന്മം ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് വിവരിക്കാം. 'തിരികെ വരിക' എന്നതുകൊണ്ട് പുനർജനിക്കുക എന്നാണ് അർത്ഥമാക്കുന്നത്.
I shall declare to you? O Prince of the Bharatas? the time at which if the Yogis leave their body they will not be born again and also when if they die they will be born again.To return means to be born again.
