विहाय कामान्यः सर्वान्पुमांश्चरति निःस्पृहः | निर्ममो निरहङ्कारः स शान्तिमधिगच्छति
vihāya kāmānyaḥ sarvānpumāṃścarati niḥspṛhaḥ . nirmamo nirahaṅkāraḥ sa śāntimadhigacchati
ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ, ನಿಃಸ್ಪೃಹನಾಗಿ, ನಿರ್ಮಮನಾಗಿ, ನಿರಹಂಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಅವನು ಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
That man attains peace who, after rejecting all desires, moves about free from hankering, without the idea of ('me' and) 'mine', and devoid of pride.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಹಂಬಲವಿಲ್ಲದೆ, 'ನಾನು' ಮತ್ತು 'ನನ್ನದು' ಎಂಬ ಭಾವವಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಜೀವನದ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಗಳಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಿ, ಆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸದೆ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೂ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮೋಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಅಥವಾ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
That man who lives destitute of longing? abandoning all desires? without the senses of I and mine? who is satisfied with the bare necessities of life? who does not care even for those bare necessities of life? who has no attachment even for the bare necessities of life? attains Moksha or eternal peace.
