अथ चैनं नित्यजातं नित्यं वा मन्यसे मृतम् | तथापि त्वं महाबाहो नैवं शोचितुमर्हसि
atha cainaṃ nityajātaṃ nityaṃ vā manyase mṛtam . tathāpi tvaṃ mahābāho naivaṃ śocitumarhasi
ಮತ್ತೊಂದೆಡೆ, ನೀನು ಈ ಆತ್ಮವು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟುತ್ತದೆ ಅಥವಾ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದರೂ, ಆಗಲೂ, ಓ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುವೇ, ನೀನು ಹೀಗೆ ಶೋಕಿಸಬಾರದು.
On the other hand, if you think this One is born continually or dies constantly, even then, O mighty-armed one, you ought not to grieve thus.
ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಭಗವಾನ್ ಕೃಷ್ಣನು, ವಾದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಊಹೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ದೇಹವು ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತ್ಮವು ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹುಟ್ಟುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಹವು ಸತ್ತಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸಾಯುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರೂ, ಓ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುವೇ (ಮಹಾ ಶೌರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಅರ್ಜುನನೇ), ನೀನು ಹೀಗೆ ಶೋಕಿಸಬಾರದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರಿಗೆ ಸಾವು ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ತವರಿಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟು ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ. ಇದು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ಅಥವಾ ನಿರಂತರ ನಿಯಮ.
Lord Krishna here? for the sake of argument? takes up the popular supposition. Granting that the Self is again and again born whenever a body comes into being? and again and again dies whenever the body dies? O mightyarmed (O Arjuna of great valour and strength)? thou shouldst not grieve thus? because birth is inevitable to want is dead and death is inevitable to what is born. This is the inexorable or unrelenting Law of Nature.
