दिवि सूर्यसहस्रस्य भवेद्युगपदुत्थिता | यदि भाः सदृशी सा स्याद्भासस्तस्य महात्मनः ||१२||
divi sūrya-sahasrasya bhaved yugapad utthitā yadi bhāḥ sadṛśhī sā syād bhāsas tasya mahātmanaḥ
اگر آسمان میں ہزاروں سورجوں کی چمک ایک ساتھ پھوٹ پڑے، تو وہ اس عظیم ہستی کی تابانی کے مشابہ ہو سکتی ہے۔
If the splendor of a thousand suns were to blaze forth all at once in the sky, that might resemble the effulgence of that Supreme Being.

This verse inspired Robert Oppenheimer during the first nuclear test. Sanjaya describes Krishna's cosmic form with the most extreme visual metaphor possible — a thousand suns rising simultaneously. Even this, the Gita says, would only "resemble" (sadṛśhī) the divine radiance, not match it.
