एवमेतद्यथात्थ त्वमात्मानं परमेश्वर | द्रष्टुमिच्छामि ते रूपमैश्वरं पुरुषोत्तम
evametadyathāttha tvamātmānaṃ parameśvara . draṣṭumicchāmi te rūpamaiśvaraṃ puruṣottama
اے پرمیشور (اعلیٰ ترین رب)! یہ بالکل ویسا ہی ہے جیسا آپ نے اپنے بارے میں فرمایا ہے۔ اے پرشوتم (اعلیٰ ترین ہستی)! میں آپ کا ایشوریہ روپ (الٰہی شکل) دیکھنا چاہتا ہوں۔
O supreme Lord, so it is, as You speak about Yourself. O supreme Person, I wish to see the divine form of Yours.
ارجن بھگوان کرشن کے بیان کردہ حقائق کی تصدیق کرتے ہوئے کہتے ہیں کہ وہ ان کی باتوں پر مکمل یقین رکھتے ہیں۔ اب ان کی خواہش ہے کہ وہ بھگوان کی اس الٰہی اور شاندار شکل کا دیدار کریں جس میں وہ کائنات کے مالک کے طور پر جلوہ گر ہیں۔
Some commentators take the two halves of this verse as two independent sentences and interpret it thusSo it is? O Supreme Lord? as Thou hast declared Thyself to be. (But still) I desire to see Thy form as Isvara? O Supreme Person.Rupamaisvaram Thy form as Isvara? that of Vishnu as possessed of infinite knowledge? sovereignty? power? strength? prowess and splendour.
