मन्मना भव मद्भक्तो मद्याजी मां नमस्कुरु | मामेवैष्यसि युक्त्वैवमात्मानं मत्परायणः
manmanā bhava madbhakto madyājī māṃ namaskuru . māmevaiṣyasi yuktvaivamātmānaṃ matparāyaṇaḥ
Aie ton esprit fixé sur Moi, sois Mon dévot, sacrifie à Moi, et prosterne-toi devant Moi. En unissant ainsi ton âtman (Soi) à Moi, et en Me prenant pour but suprême, tu M'atteindras assurément.
Having your mind fixed on Me, be devoted to Me, sacrifice to Me, and bow down to Me. By concentrating your mind and accepting Me as the supreme Goal, you shall surely attain Me who am thus the Self.
Remplis ton esprit de Moi. Fixe ta tête, ton cœur et tes mains sur Moi. Mets ton cœur en harmonie avec Moi. Deviens un véritable adorateur. Tu obtiendras la béatitude éternelle. M'ayant connu, tu traverseras au-delà de la mort. L'être entier de l'homme doit être abandonné au Seigneur sans réserve. Alors toute la vie subira une merveilleuse transformation. Tu auras la vision de Dieu partout. Toutes les peines et douleurs disparaîtront. Ton esprit ne fera qu'un avec la conscience divine. Tout comme l'éther contenu dans un pot ne fait qu'un avec l'éther universel lorsque l'adjonction limitante (le pot) est brisée, tout comme le Gange et la Yamuna, abandonnant leurs noms et leurs formes, ne font qu'un avec l'océan, de même le sage se débarrasse de l'Avidya (ignorance) et de toutes sortes d'adjonctions limitantes par la réalisation directe du Soi et devient identique au Para Brahman. Yukta signifie « stabilisé dans la pensée », ayant ainsi fixé l'esprit sur le Seigneur, sachant que Je suis l'Âtman (Soi) de tous les êtres et le but le plus élevé. (Cf. V.17, VII.7, 14, XVIII.65). (Ce chapitre est aussi connu sous le nom d'Adhyatma Yoga.)
Fill thy mind with Me. Fix your head? heart and hands on Me. Get your heart in tune with Me. Become a true worshipper. You will secure eternal bliss. Having known Me? you will cross beyond death.The whole being of man should be surrendered to the Lord without reservation. Then the whole life will undergo a wonderful transformation. You will have the vision of God everywhere. All sorrows and pains will vanish. Your mind will be one with the divine consciousness.Just as the potether becomes one with the universal ether when the limiting adjunct (pot) is broken? just as the Ganga and the Yamuna? leaving their names and forms become one with the ocean? so also the sage gets rid of Avidya and all sorts of limiting adjuncts through the direct realisation of the Self and becomes identical with Para Brahman.Yukta means steadied in thought? having thus fixed the mind on the Lord? knowing that I am the Self of all beings and the highest goal.
