अव्यक्तोऽक्षर इत्युक्तस्तमाहुः परमां गतिम् | यं प्राप्य न निवर्तन्ते तद्धाम परमं मम
avyakto.akṣara ityuktastamāhuḥ paramāṃ gatim . yaṃ prāpya na nivartante taddhāma paramaṃ mama
Celui qui a été désigné comme l'Inmanifesté, l'Immuable, ils L'appellent le But suprême. C'est Ma demeure suprême, en L'atteignant, ils ne reviennent plus.
He who has been mentioned as the Unmanifested, the Immutable, they call Him the supreme Goal. That is the supreme abode of Mine, reaching which they do not return.
Le Para Brahman est appelé l'Inmanifesté car Il ne peut être perçu par les sens. Il est également appelé l'Impérissable. Il est omniprésent, tout-pénétrant et inter-pénétrant. Le Para Brahman est le But le plus élevé ; il n'y a rien de plus haut que Lui. C'est le véritable état non-duel, libre de toute sorte d'adjonctions limitatives. L'atteinte du Brahmaloka (la région du Créateur), etc., est inférieure à cela. Ce n'est qu'en réalisant le Soi que l'on est libéré du saṃsāra.
Para Brahman is called the Unmanifested because It cannot be perceived by the senses. It is called the Imperishable also. It is allpervading? allpermeating and interpenetrating. Para Brahman is the highest Goal. There is nothing higher than It. This is the true nondual state free from all sorts of limiting adjuncts. The attainment of Brahmaloka (the region of the Creator) etc.? is inferior to this. Only by realising the Self is one liberated from Samsara. (Cf.XII.3?XV.6)
