karmaṇy evādhikāras te mā phaleṣhu kadāchana mā karma-phala-hetur bhūr mā te saṅgo 'stv akarmaṇi

You have a right to perform your duty, but never to the fruits of your actions. Do not consider yourself the cause of the results, and never be attached to inaction.
Dieser Vers ist einer der bekanntesten der Gita und enthält vier Anweisungen: Dein Recht liegt allein im Handeln; niemals in den Ergebnissen; denke nicht, dass du die Ergebnisse verursachst; und nutze dies nicht als Vorwand für Untätigkeit. This is arguably the most famous verse of the Gita. Four instructions: (1) your right is to work only; (2) never to the results; (3) don't think you cause results; (4) don't use this as an excuse for inaction. Modern psychology calls this "process focus" vs "outcome focus."
