अव्यक्तोऽयमचिन्त्योऽयमविकार्योऽयमुच्यते | तस्मादेवं विदित्वैनं नानुशोचितुमर्हसि
avyakto.ayamacintyo.ayamavikāryo.ayamucyate . tasmādevaṃ viditvainaṃ nānuśocitumarhasi
Man sagt, dass Es unmanifest ist; Es ist unbegreiflich; Es ist unveränderlich. Daher, nachdem du Es so erkannt hast, solltest du nicht trauern.
It is said that This is unmanifest; This is inconceivable; This is unchangeable. Therefore, having known This thus, you ougth not to grieve.
Das Selbst ist kein Objekt der Wahrnehmung. Es kann kaum mit den physischen Augen gesehen werden. Daher ist das Selbst unmanifestiert. Was mit den Augen gesehen wird, wird zu einem Gedankenobjekt. Da das Selbst nicht mit den Augen wahrgenommen werden kann, ist es undenkbar. Milch, wenn sie mit Buttermilch gemischt wird, ändert ihre Form. Das Selbst kann seine Form nicht wie Milch ändern. Daher ist es unveränderlich und unwandelbar. Daher, so das Selbst verstehend, solltest du nicht trauern. Du solltest auch nicht denken, dass du ihr Mörder bist und dass sie von dir getötet werden.
The Self is not an object of perception. It can hardly be seen by the physical eyes. Therefore? the Self is unmanifested. That which is seen by the eyes becomes an object of thought. As the Self cannot be perceived by the eyes? It is unthinkable. Milk when mixed with buttermilk changes its form. The Self cannot change Its form like milk. Hence? It is changeless and immutable. Therefore? thus understanding the Self? thou shouldst not mourn. Thou shouldst not think also that thou art their slayer and that they are killed by thee.
