काङ्क्षन्तः कर्मणां सिद्धिं यजन्त इह देवताः | क्षिप्रं हि मानुषे लोके सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा
kāṅkṣantaḥ karmaṇāṃ siddhiṃ yajanta iha devatāḥ . kṣipraṃ hi mānuṣe loke siddhirbhavati karmajā
渴望行為（其儀式與職責）的成果，他們在此世崇拜諸神。因為在人間，由行為而來的成功是迅速的。
Longing for the fruition of actions (of their rites and duties), they worship the gods here. For, in the human world, success from action comes ickly.
獲得阿特曼（Atman）的知識或自我實現是非常困難的。它要求完美的捨棄。尋道者應具備四種資糧和許多其他美德，並實踐持續而強烈的冥想。但世俗的成功可以迅速而輕易地獲得。
It is very difficult to attain to the knowledge of the Self or Selfrealisation. It demans perfect renunciation. The aspirnat should possess the four means and many other virtues? and practise constant and intense meditaion. But worldly success can be attained ickly and easily.
