मां हि पार्थ व्यपाश्रित्य येऽपि स्युः पापयोनयः | स्त्रियो वैश्यास्तथा शूद्रास्तेऽपि यान्ति परां गतिम्
māṃ hi pārtha vyapāśritya ye.api syuḥ pāpayonayaḥ . striyo vaiśyāstathā śūdrāste.api yānti parāṃ gatim
ఓ పార్థా, పాపయోనులైనవారు, స్త్రీలు, వైశ్యులు, అలాగే శూద్రులు కూడా నన్ను ఆశ్రయించి పరమగతిని పొందుతారు.
For, O son of Prtha, even those who are born of sin-women, Vaisyas, as also Sudras [S.'s construction of this portion is: women, Vaisyas as also Sudras, and even others who are born of sin (i.e., those who are born low and are of vile deeds, viz Mlecchas, Pukkasas and others). M.S. also takes papa-yonayah (born of sin) as a separate phrase, and classifies women and others only as those darred from Vedic study, etc.-Tr.]-, even they reach the highest Goal by taking shelter under Me.
చండాలురు లేదా బహిష్కృతులు పాపజన్మ కలవారు. స్త్రీలు మరియు శూద్రులు సామాజిక నియమాల ప్రకారం వేద అధ్యయనానికి అనర్హులు. ఇక్కడ కావాల్సింది భక్తి మాత్రమే. వంశపారంపర్య సంప్రదాయాలతో పని లేదు. గజేంద్రుడు జంతువైనప్పటికీ, నన్ను భక్తితో స్మరించి నన్ను పొందాడు. అత్యంత నీచులైనవారు కూడా విశ్వాసం మరియు భక్తి కలిగి ఉంటే, నా నామాన్ని గానం చేసి, జపించి, ఎల్లప్పుడూ నన్నే స్మరిస్తూ, లౌకిక వస్తువుల గురించి ఆలోచించకుండా ఉంటే నన్ను పొందగలరు. ప్రహ్లాదుడు రాక్షసుడైనప్పటికీ, తన భక్తితో నన్ను నరసింహావతారం ఎత్తేలా చేశాడు. జన్మ ముఖ్యం కాదు, భక్తియే సర్వస్వం. గోపికలు తమ భక్తి ద్వారా నన్ను పొందారు. కంసుడు మరియు రావణుడు భయం ద్వారా నన్ను పొందారు. శిశుపాలుడు ద్వేషం ద్వారా నన్ను చేరుకున్నాడు. నారదుడు, ధ్రువుడు, అక్రూరుడు, శుకుడు, సనత్కుమారుడు మరియు ఇతరులు తమ భక్తి ద్వారా నన్ను పొందారు. తక్కువ కులంలో పుట్టినప్పటికీ, గొప్ప శివ భక్తుడైన నందన్, దక్షిణ భారతదేశంలోని చిదంబరంలో భగవంతుని ప్రత్యక్ష దర్శనం పొందాడు. చెప్పులు కుట్టే రైదాస్ గొప్ప భక్తుడు. ఆధ్యాత్మిక జీవితంలో లేదా ఆధ్యాత్మిక రంగంలో కులం, రంగు మరియు మతం యొక్క అన్ని బాహ్య భేదాలు పూర్తిగా అదృశ్యమవుతాయి. శబరి, జన్మతః భిల్ని (ఒక గిరిజన తెగ) అయినప్పటికీ, శ్రీరాముని గొప్ప భక్తురాలు. హిందూ గ్రంథాలు ఇటువంటి ఉదాహరణలతో నిండి ఉన్నాయి. హిందూ మతం మోక్షాన్ని ఏ ఒక్క సమూహానికి లేదా మానవజాతి విభాగానికి పరిమితం చేయదు. భక్తి ఉంటే అందరూ భగవంతుడిని పొందగలరు.
Chandalas or outcastes are of a sinful birth. Women and Sudras are darred by social rules from the study of the Vedas. What is wanted is devotion. There is no need for family traditions. The elephant Gajendra remembered Me with devotion and attained Me in spite of his being an animal. The lowest of the low and the vilest of the vile can attain Me if they have faith and devotion? if they sing and repeat My Name and if they think of Me always and think of no worldy object.Prahlada was a demon and yet by his devotion forced Me to incarnate as Narasimha. Birth is immaterial. Devotion is everything. The Gopis attained Me through their devotion. Kamsa and Ravana attained Me through fear. Sisupala reached Me through hatred. Narada? Dhruva? Akrura? Suka? Sanatkumara and others attined Me through their devotion. Nandan? a man of low caste but a great devotee of Lord Siva? had direct vision of the Lord in Chidambaram in South India. Raidas? a cobbler? was a great devotee. In the spiritual life or in the Adhyatmic sphere all the external distinctions of caste? colour and creed disappear altogether. Shabari? though a Bhilni (a tribe) by birth? was a great devotee of Lord Rama.Hindu scriptures are full of such instances. Hinduism does not restrict salvation to any one group or section of humanity. All can attain God if they have devotion.
