रागी कर्मफलप्रेप्सुर्लुब्धो हिंसात्मकोऽशुचिः | हर्षशोकान्वितः कर्ता राजसः परिकीर्तितः

பற்றுள்ளவனாய், செயல்களின் பலனை விரும்புபவனாய், பேராசை கொண்டவனாய், வன்முறை இயல்புடையவனாய், தூய்மையற்றவனாய், இன்ப துன்பங்களால் ஆட்கொள்ளப்பட்டவனாய் இருக்கும் செய்பவன் ராஜஸன் என்று கூறப்படுகிறான்.
The agent who has attachment, who is desirous of the results of actions, covetous, cruel by nature, unclean and subject to joy and sorrow is declared to be possessed of rajas.
