कविं पुराणमनुशासितार- मणोरणीयंसमनुस्मरेद्यः | सर्वस्य धातारमचिन्त्यरूप- मादित्यवर्णं तमसः परस्तात्
kaviṃ purāṇamanuśāsitāraṃ aṇoraṇīyaṃsamanusmaredyaḥ . sarvasya dhātāramacintyarūpaṃ ādityavarṇaṃ tamasaḥ parastāt
جو شخص اس شاعر (کوی)، قدیم، سب پر حکمرانی کرنے والے، ذرے سے بھی زیادہ باریک، سب کے پالنہار، ناقابلِ تصور شکل والے، سورج کی طرح روشن اور تاریکی سے پرے (بھگوان) کا دھیان کرتا ہے، وہ اس اعلیٰ ہستی کو حاصل کرتا ہے۔
He who meditates on the Omniscient, the Anceint, the Ruler, subtler than the subtle, the Ordainer of everything, of inconceivable form, effulgent like the sun, and beyond darkness-(he attains the supreme Person).
اس شلوک میں بھگوان کی مختلف صفات بیان کی گئی ہیں۔ انہیں 'کوی' یعنی سب کچھ جاننے والا، 'پران' یعنی قدیم ترین، 'انوشاسیتارم' یعنی سب پر حکمرانی کرنے والا، 'انو رانیانس' یعنی ذرے سے بھی زیادہ باریک، 'سروَسیہ دھاتارم' یعنی سب کا پالنہار، 'اچنتیا روپم' یعنی ناقابلِ تصور شکل والا، 'آدتیہ ورنم' یعنی سورج کی طرح روشن، اور 'تمسہ پرستات' یعنی جہالت کی تاریکی سے پرے بتایا گیا ہے۔ ان صفات کے ساتھ بھگوان کا دھیان کرنے والا انہیں حاصل کر لیتا ہے۔
Kavim The sage? seer or poet? the omniscient.The Lord dispenses the fruits of actions of the Jivas (individual souls). He is the Ruler of the world. It is very difficult to conceive the form of the Lord. He is selfluminous and He illumies everything like the sun.
