दुःखेष्वनुद्विग्नमनाः सुखेषु विगतस्पृहः | वीतरागभयक्रोधः स्थितधीर्मुनिरुच्यते
duḥkheṣvanudvignamanāḥ sukheṣu vigataspṛhaḥ . vītarāgabhayakrodhaḥ sthitadhīrmunirucyate
وہ 'مُنی' (راہب) 'ستھت دھیہ' (ثابت عقل والا) کہلاتا ہے جب اس کا ذہن دکھوں میں پریشان نہ ہو، وہ لذتوں کی خواہش سے آزاد ہو، اور لگاؤ، خوف اور غصے سے ماورا ہو چکا ہو۔
That monk is called a man of steady wisdom when his mind is unperturbed in sorrow, he is free from longing for delights, and has gone beyond attachment, fear and anger.
بھگوان کرشن ارجن کے سوال کے دوسرے حصے کا جواب دیتے ہیں کہ 'ستھت پرگیہ' (ثابت عقل والے رشی) کا رویہ کیسا ہوتا ہے، جو آیات 56، 57 اور 58 میں بیان کیا گیا ہے۔ 'ستھت پرگیہ' کا ذہن مصیبتوں میں پریشان نہیں ہوتا۔ وہ تینوں قسم کے دکھوں (تاپس) سے متاثر نہیں ہوتا – 'ادھیاتمک' (جسمانی بیماریوں سے پیدا ہونے والے)، 'ادھیدیوک' (بجلی، طوفان، سیلاب وغیرہ سے پیدا ہونے والے)، اور 'ادھیبھوتک' (بچھو، سانپ، شیر وغیرہ سے پیدا ہونے والے)۔ جب اسے خوشحالی ملتی ہے تو وہ حسی لذتوں کی خواہش نہیں کرتا۔
Lord Krishna gives His answer to the second part of Arjunas estion as to the conduct of a sage of steady wisdom in the 56th? 57th and 58th verses.The mind of a sage of steady wisdom is not distressed in calamities. He is not affected by the three afflictions (Taapas) -- Adhyatmika (arising from diseases or disorders in ones own body)? Adhidaivika (arising from thunder? lightning? storm? flood? etc.)? and Adhibhautika (arising from scorpions? cobras? tigers? etc.). When he is placed in an affluent condition he does not long for sensual pleasures. (Cf.IV.10).
