अथ चैनं नित्यजातं नित्यं वा मन्यसे मृतम् | तथापि त्वं महाबाहो नैवं शोचितुमर्हसि
atha cainaṃ nityajātaṃ nityaṃ vā manyase mṛtam . tathāpi tvaṃ mahābāho naivaṃ śocitumarhasi
دوسری طرف، اگر تم یہ سمجھتے ہو کہ یہ (آتما) مسلسل پیدا ہوتا ہے یا مسلسل مرتا ہے، تب بھی، اے مہاباہو (طاقتور بازوؤں والے)، تمہیں اس طرح غم نہیں کرنا چاہیے۔
On the other hand, if you think this One is born continually or dies constantly, even then, O mighty-armed one, you ought not to grieve thus.
بھگوان کرشن یہاں بحث کی خاطر ایک عام مفروضہ لیتے ہیں۔ یہ مانتے ہوئے بھی کہ جب بھی کوئی جسم وجود میں آتا ہے تو آتما بار بار پیدا ہوتا ہے، اور جب بھی جسم مرتا ہے تو بار بار مرتا ہے، اے مہاباہو (اے ارجن، عظیم بہادری اور طاقت والے)، تمہیں اس طرح غم نہیں کرنا چاہیے، کیونکہ جو مر گیا ہے اس کا پیدا ہونا ناگزیر ہے اور جو پیدا ہوا ہے اس کا مرنا ناگزیر ہے۔ یہ فطرت کا اٹل قانون ہے۔
Lord Krishna here? for the sake of argument? takes up the popular supposition. Granting that the Self is again and again born whenever a body comes into being? and again and again dies whenever the body dies? O mightyarmed (O Arjuna of great valour and strength)? thou shouldst not grieve thus? because birth is inevitable to want is dead and death is inevitable to what is born. This is the inexorable or unrelenting Law of Nature.
