धूमेनाव्रियते वह्निर्यथादर्शो मलेन च | यथोल्बेनावृतो गर्भस्तथा तेनेदमावृतम्
dhūmenāvriyate vahniryathādarśo malena ca . yatholbenāvṛto garbhastathā tenedamāvṛtam
煙によって火が覆われ、塵によって鏡が覆われ、羊膜によって胎児が包まれているように、これ（知識）はそれ（欲望）によって覆われている。
As fire is enveloped by smoke, as a mirror by dirt, and as a foetus remains enclosed in the womb, so in this shrouded by that.
「これ」とは宇宙、あるいは知識を意味する。「それ」とは欲望を意味する。
This means the universe. This also means knowledge. That means desire.
