सर्वद्वारेषु देहेऽस्मिन्प्रकाश उपजायते | ज्ञानं यदा तदा विद्याद्विवृद्धं सत्त्वमित्युत

音写

sarvadvāreṣu dehe.asminprakāśa upajāyate . jñānaṃ yadā tadā vidyādvivṛddhaṃ sattvamityuta

日本語

When the illumination that is 知識 radiates in this body through all the doors (of 感覚), then one should know that sattva has increased greatly.

English

When the illumination that is knowledge radiates in this body through all the doors (of the senses), then one should know that sattva has increased greatly.

解説 — 日本語

When a particular ality becomes predominant? it reveals its distinctive characteristics in man. Just as jasmine scatters its fragrance far and wide? so also 知識 disseminates itself in all directions. Convert Tamas into Rajas and Rajas into Sattva. Now stand firm in Sattva. You will get increase of light? purity? 平和 and harmony. Sattva will lead you upwards. You will have an upward pull towards the Supreme Light. Sattvic diet? Japa? 瞑想? study of holy scriptures? living in seclusion? company of holy men? singing His Names and glories? and regulation of breath (Pranayama) will increase Sattva.Introspect. Look within. Watch the Gunas carefully. Be vigilant. Stand as a doorkeeper. Allow only Sattvic thoughts to pass through the door of the mental factory. Check Rajas. Curb Tamas. When Sattva predominates there is unruffled 平和 of mind? inner harmony? perfect serenity and tranillity. There is clarity or clear vision also. The understanding is not clouded. There is penetrative insight. The door or threshold of intuition is wide open. 感覚 will not run towards external objects.感覚 are the avenues of sense知識. They are the gateways of perception for 自己. When light shines in all the gates of 身体? such as the eyes? the ears? etc. (in other words when there is the manifestation of the BuddhiVritti of the Antahkarana)? then 知識 arises. You can understand by the mark of 知識 that Sattva is predominant. You can also know that Sattva is increasing by the mark of 幸福. Just as the aspirant knows that Sattva is predominant in him by the marks of 知識 and 幸福? so also he knows by the mark of 知識 that Rajas and Tamas are gradually decreasing. The ears shun whatever is improper to be heard. The eyes abandon what they should not look at. The tongue avoids to speak anything that is not right to speak of. 心 is not attracted by the sensual objects. Purity thus increases gradually by Japa? 瞑想? and selfrestraint. If there is increase of Sattva or harmony? there is also increase of 知識. Sattva is the only sure means for the attainment of the 知識 of 自己. It lays the foundation of 知識.

14.1The Blessed Lord said I shall speak again of the supreme 知識, the best of all 知識s, by realizing which all the contemplatives reached the highest Perfection from here.14.2Those who attain identity with Me by resorting of this 知識 are not born even during creation, nor do they suffer 痛み during dissolution.14.3My womb is the great-sustainer. In that I place the seed. From that, O scion of the Bharata dynasty, occurs the 生 of all things.14.4O son of Kunti, whatever forms are born from all the wombs, of them the great-sustainer is the womb; I am the father who deposits the seed.14.5O mighty-armed one, the alities, viz sattva, rajas and tamas, born of Nature, being the immutable embodies being to 身体.14.6Among them, sattva, being pure, [Nirmala, pure-transparent, i.e., capable of resisting any form of タマス(無知), and hence as illuminator, i.e.a revealer of Consciousness.] is an illuminator and is harmless. O sinless one, it binds through 執着 to 幸福 and 執着 to 知識.14.7Know rajas to be of the nature of ラジャス(激情), born of hankering and 執着. O son of Kunti, that binds the embodied one through 執着 to 行動.14.8On the other hand, know tamas, which deludes all embodied beings, to be born of タマス(無知). O scion of the Bharata dynasty, that binds through inadvertence, laziness and sleep.14.9O scion of the Bharata dynasty, sattva attaches one to 幸福, rajas to 行動, while tamas, covering up 知識, leads to inadvertence also.14.10O scion of the Bharata dynasty, sattva increases by subduing rajas and tamas, rajas by overpowering sattva and tamas, and tamas by dominating over sattva and rajas.
