श्रीभगवानुवाच | प्रजहाति यदा कामान्सर्वान्पार्थ मनोगतान् | आत्मन्येवात्मना तुष्टः स्थितप्रज्ञस्तदोच्यते
śrībhagavānuvāca . prajahāti yadā kāmānsarvānpārtha manogatān . ātmanyevātmanā tuṣṭaḥ sthitaprajñastadocyate
シュリー・バガヴァーンは言った。 「おお、パールタよ、人が心に入り込んだあらゆるカーマ（欲望）を完全に捨て去り、アートマン（真我）によってアートマンのみに満足する時、その人はスティタプラジュニャ（不動の智慧を持つ者）と呼ばれる。」
The Blessed said O Partha, when one fully renounces all the desires that have entered the mind, and remains satisfied in the Self alone by the Self, then he is called a man of steady wisdom.
この詩節で、クリシュナ神はアルジュナの質問の最初の部分に答えています。砂糖菓子を手に入れた者が黒砂糖を欲しがるでしょうか？決してそうではありません。もし誰かがアートマン（真我）の至福を得られるなら、感覚的な快楽を渇望するでしょうか？いいえ、全くそうではありません。アートマンに満足しているスティタプラジュニャ（不動の智慧を持つ聖者）にとって、世のあらゆる快楽の総計は無価値に思えるでしょう。
In this verse Lord Krishna gives His answer to the first part of Arjunas estion.If anyone gets sugarcandy will he crave for blacksugar Certainly not. If anyone can attain the supreme bliss of the Self? will he thirst for the sensual pleasures No? not at all. The sumtotal of all the pleasures of the world will seem worthless for the sage of steady wisdom who is satisfied in the Self. (Cf.III.17VI.7?8).
