अनिष्टमिष्टं मिश्रं च त्रिविधं कर्मणः फलम् | भवत्यत्यागिनां प्रेत्य न तु संन्यासिनां क्वचित्

音写

aniṣṭamiṣṭaṃ miśraṃ ca trividhaṃ karmaṇaḥ phalam . bhavatyatyāgināṃ pretya na tu saṃnyāsināṃ kvacit

日本語

The threefold results of 行動s-the undesirable, the desirable, and the mixed-accrues after 死 to those who do not resort to 放棄, but never to those who resort to monasticism.

English

The threefold results of actions-the undesirable, the desirable, and the mixed-accrues after death to those who do not resort to renunciation, but never to those who resort to monasticism.

解説 — 日本語

One fruit (of 行動) is pleasant? another is unpleasant? while the third is a mixture of both. Those in whom good 行動s preponderate are rorn as gods. Men of evil lives are rorn into animal or vegetable kingdoms. If their 行動s are eally good and bad? they are rorn into the human kingodm. These distinctions of good? evil and mixed do not exist for the liberated sage who has gone beyond the bonds of Karma by destroying egoism? by annihilating the idea of agency and by abandoning the hope of rewards of 行動s.The 行動 of a renouncer does not generate desire or 執着 thereto. Therefore? after 死 he is not born again. The 行動s that are performed without any desire for the reward can bring no 束縛 to the man at any time.He who has surrendered the fruits of all his works to the Lord is free from the 束縛 of Karma. Some kind of 行動 is inevitable and natural to all beings? but the man of 放棄 abandons the fruits of 行動s.Phalam Fruit This is caused by the operation of various external factors. This is brought forth by Avidya (ignornace). It is like jugglery and very delusive. The term Phala denotes something that ickly passes away? something not real? not solid.Karma 行動 Virtue and vice.Anishtam Disagreeable or evil? such as hell? the animal kingdom? etc.Ishtam Wished or agreeable or good.Misram Good and evil mixed together the human 生.Only the unenlightened who have not renounced the fruits of 行動s reap these three sorts of fruits. The real Sannyasins who belong to the highest order of Sannyasa (Paramahamsa Parivrajakas) who are ever engaged in 瞑想 on the pure? immortal Self? who are solely devoted to Self知識? and who rest in their own essential nature as Existence知識Bliss Absolute do not reap any fruits as the fire of Self知識 has burnt タマス(無知) and its effects which are the seeds of Samsara.Only a liberated sage who has attained 知識 of 自己 and who has no identification with 身体 can totally relinish all 行動s. He knows that 自己 is beyond all 行動s and that 行動 is attributed to 自己 by タマス(無知). 無知な者たち man who identifies himself with 身体 cannot abandon 行動s. He thinks that he is the agent or the doer of all 行動s and expects to attain the fruits of his 行動s and so he is born again and again in this world to reap the fruits of these 行動s.

18.1アルジュナは言った O mighty-armed Hrsikesa, O slayer of (the demon) Kesi, I want to know serverally the truth about sannyasa as also about tyaga.18.2The Blessed Lord said The learned ones know sannyasa to be the giving up of 行動s done with a desire for reward. The adepts call the abandonment of the results of all works as tyaga.18.3Some learned persons say that 行動, beset with evil (as it is), should be given up, and others (say) that the practice of sacrifice, charity and austertiy should not be given up.18.4O the most excellent among the descendants of Bharata, hear from Me the firm conclusion regarding that tyaga. For, O greatest among men, tyaga has been clearly declared to be of three kinds.18.5The practice of sacrifice, charity and austerity is not to be abandoned; it is surely to be undertaken. Sacrifice, charity and austerity are verily the purifiers of 賢者たち.18.6But even these 行動s have to be undertaken by renouncing 執着 and (hankering for) results. This is My firm and best conclusion, O Parhta.18.7The abandoning of daily obligatory acts (nityakamas) is not justifiable. Giving up that through delusion is declared to be based on tamas.18.8Whatever 行動 one may relinish merely as being 痛みful, from fear of physical 苦しみ, he, having resorted to 放棄 based on rajas, will surely not acire the fruits of 放棄.18.9Whatever obligatory duty is performed just because it is a bounden duty, O Arjuna, by giving up 執着 and the result as well,-that 放棄 is considered to be based on sattva.18.10The man of 放棄 who has become imbued with sattva, who is wise and freed from doubts, does not hate unbefitting 行動, nor does he become attached to befitting activity.
