And, O scion of the Bharata dynasty, under-stand Me to be the 'クシェトラジナ of the クシェトラ' in all the クシェトラs. In My opinion, that is 知識 which is the knowlege of th クシェトラ and the クシェトラジナ of the クシェトラ.

And, O scion of the Bharata dynasty, under-stand Me to be the 'Knower of the field' in all the fields. In My opinion, that is Knowledge which is the knowlege of th field and the knower of the field.

解説 — 日本語

The クシェトラs are different but the クシェトラジナ of the クシェトラ is one. The individual souls (Jivatmas) are different but the Supreme Soul (Paramatma) is one. Wherever there is mind? there are lifreath? egoism and the individual consciousness or reflected intelligence side by side. He who has the sense of duality will take 生 again and again. This delusion of dulaity can only be removed by 知識 of the identity of the individual soul and the Absolute. I am happy? I am miserable? I am the doer of this 行動? and I am the enjoyer of this experience -- these are the experiences of all human beings. Therefore the individual soul is bound to Samsara and is subject to 喜び and 痛み? and the individual souls are in different bodies. But? the Supreme Soul is free from 喜び and 痛み. It is not bound to Samsara. It is eternally free. It is one without a second.If there is only one individual soul in all bodies? all should have the same experience at the same time. If Rama suffers from abdominal colic? Krishna also should experience the 痛み at the same time. If John experiences joy? Jacob also should have a similar experience. If Choudhury is stung by a scorpion? Banerjee also should suffer from the 痛み. But this is not the case. When Rama suffers? Krishna rejoices. When John is jubilan? Jacob is depressed. When Choudhury suffers from the sting of a scorpion? Banerjee is enjoying his breakfast. クシェトラs are different? bodies are different? minds are different and the individual souls are different from each other. But the クシェトラジナ in all these クシェトラs is one. 喜び and 痛み are the Dharmas (functions) of 心 only. The individual soul is in essence identical with the Supreme Soul.The クシェトラジナ of the クシェトラ or 自己 is not affected by 喜び and 痛み? virtue and vice. He is the silent witness only. 喜び and 痛み are the functions of 心. They are ascribed to 自己 through タマス(無知). 無知な者たち man regards the physical body as 自己. He is swayed by the two currents of likes and dislikes? he does virtuous and vicious 行動s and reaps the fruits of these 行動s? viz.? 喜び and 痛み? and takes 生 again and again. But the sage who knows that the Kshetrajna or the クシェトラジナ of the クシェトラ or 自己 is distinct from 身体 is not swayed by likes and dislikes. He identifies himself with the pure? eternal? Absolute or 至高の自己 and is always happy and 行動less? though he performs 行動s for the welfare of humanity.The disease of Timira (partial blindness) which causes perception of what is contrary to truth pertains to the eye but not to the man who perceives. If the disease is removed by proper treatment he perceives things in their true light. Even so タマス(無知)? doubt? 喜び and 痛み? virtue and vice? likes and dislikes? false perceptions as well as their cause belong to the instrument (心) but not to the silent witness? the クシェトラジナ of the クシェトラ? 自己.In the state of 解脱 wherein there is annihilation of 心? there is no タマス(無知) and the play of the two currents of likes and dislikes does not exist there. If false perception? タマス(無知)? 喜び and 痛み? doubt? 束縛? delusion? sorrow? etc.? were the essential properties of 自己? just as heat is the essential property of fire? they could not be got rid of at any time. But there have been sages of Selfrealisation in the past like Sankara? Dattatreya? Jada Bharata and Yajnavalkya who possessed extraordinary supersensual or intuitional 知識? who were free from false perception? doubt? fear? delusion? sorrow? etc. They were not conscious of Samsara but they had perfect awareness of 自己. Therefore? we will have to conclude that 自己 is ever free? pure? perfect? eternal and that タマス(無知) inheres in the instrument (心) and not in 自己.タマス(無知) born of Tamas acts as a veil and prevents man from knowing his essential nature as,the Existence知識Bliss Absolute. It causes perception of what is ite the contrary of truth and causes doubt or nonperception of truth. As soon as 知識 of 自己 dawns these three forms of タマス(無知) vanish in toto. Therefore these three forms of タマス(無知) are not the attributes of 自己. They belong to 心? the organ or the instrument. Mind is only an effect or a product of タマス(無知).The wheel of Samsara or the worldprocess rotates on account of タマス(無知). It exists only for 無知な者たち man who perceives the world as it appears to him.There is no Samsara for a liberated sage. Any disease of the eye cannot in any way effect the sun (the dity presiding over the eye). The breaking of the pot will not in any way affect the ether or space in the pot. The water of the mirage cannot render the earth moist. Even so タマス(無知) and its effecs cannot in the least affect the pure? subtle? attributeless? formless? limbless? partless and selfluminous Kshetrajna or 自己. タマス(無知) does not touch 自己. (Cf.X.20XIII.32XVIII.61)

13.1Swami Gambhirananda has not translated this sloka. Many editions of the Bhagavadgita do not contain this sloka, including the commentary by Sankaracharya. If this sloka is included, the total number of slokas in the Bhagavadgita is 701.13.2The Blessed Lord said O son of Kunti, this body is referred to as the 'クシェトラ'. Those who are versed in this call him who is conscious of it as the 'クシェトラジナ of the クシェトラ'.13.4Hear from Me in brief about (all) that as to what that クシェトラ is and how it is; what its changes are, and from what cause arises what effect; and who He is, and what His powers are.13.5It has been sung of in various ways by the Rsis, separately by the different kinds [The different branches of Vedic texts.] of Vedic texts, and also by the rational and convicing sentences themselves which are indicatvie of and lead of Brahman.13.6The great elements, egoism, intellect and the Unmanifest itself; the ten organs and the one, and the five objects of 感覚;13.7Desire, repulsion, 幸福, sorrow, the aggregate (of body and organs), sentience, fortitude- this クシェトラ, together with its modifications, has been spoken of briefly.13.8Humility, unpretentiousness, non-injury, for-bearance, sincerity, service of the teacher, cleanliness, steadiness, control of body and organs;13.9Non-執着 with regard to objects of 感覚, and also absence of egotism; seeing the evil in 生, 死, old age, diseases and miseries;13.10Non-執着 and absence of fondness with regard to sons, wives, homes, etc., and constant eanimity of 心 with regard to the attainment of the desirable and the undesirable;13.11And unwavering devotion to Me with single-minded concentration; inclination to repair into a clean place; lack of delight in a crowd of people;
