मोघाशा मोघकर्माणो मोघज्ञाना विचेतसः | राक्षसीमासुरीं चैव प्रकृतिं मोहिनीं श्रिताः

音写

moghāśā moghakarmāṇo moghajñānā vicetasaḥ . rākṣasīmāsurīṃ caiva prakṛtiṃ mohinīṃ śritāḥ

日本語

Of vain hopes, of vain 行動s, of vain 知識, and senseless, they become verily possessed of the deceptive disposition of fiends and demons.

English

Of vain hopes, of vain actions, of vain knowledge, and senseless, they become verily possessed of the deceptive disposition of fiends and demons.

解説 — 日本語

They entertain vain hopes? for there can be no hope in perishable forms. It is vain hope because they run after transient objects and miss the Eternal. It is vain 行動? because it is not performed by them as sacrifice unto the Lord. The Agnihotra (a ritual) and other 行動s performed by them are fruitless? because they insult the Lord. They are senseless. They have no,discrimination. They have no idea of the eternal Self. They worship their body only. They behold no self beyond 身体. They neglect their own Self. They do atrocious crimes and cruel 行動s. They rob others property and murder people. They partake of the nature of アスラたち and the undivine beings. The Rakshasa are Tamasic and the Asuras are Rajasic.Prakriti means here Svabhava (ones own nature). They see the external human body only. They have no 知識 of 自己 that dwells within 身体. They do not behold God in the universe. They life for eating and drinラージャ only.He who entertains hope of getting the rewards of 行動s through mere Karma alone? without the grace of the Lord is one of empty hope and empty deed. Karmas are insentient. They cannot give rewards independently. The omniscient Lord Who knows the relationship between Karmas and their fruits can dispense them. He who has obtained 知識 from books which do not admit of the existence of 自己 and which do not speak of 自己 is one of empty 知識. This will not give any reward. That 知識 obtained through the study of spiritual books which treat of Brahman alone can give the reward. (Cf.VII.15XVI.6?20)

9.1The Blessed Lord said However, to you who are not given to cavilling I shall speak of this highest secret itself, which is 知識 [Jnana may mean Brahman that is Consciousness, or Its 知識 gathered from ヴェーダ (paroksa-jnana). Vijnana is direct experience (aparoksa-jnana).] combined with experience, by realizing which you shall be free from evil.9.2This is the Sovereign 知識, the Sovereign Profundity, the best sanctifire; directly realizable, righteous, very easy to practise and imperishable.9.3O destroyer of foes, persons who are regardless of this Dharma (知識 of 自己) certainly go round and round, without reaching Me, along the path of transmigration which is fraught with 死.9.4This whole world is prevaded by Me in My unmanifest form. All beings exist in Me, but I am not contained in them!9.5Nor do the beings dwell in Me. Behod My divine Yoga! I am the sustainer and originator of beings, but My Self is not contained in the beings.9.6Understand thus that just as the voluminous wind moving everywhere is ever present in space, similarly all beings abide in Me.9.7O son Kunti, all the beings go back at the end of a cycle to My Prakrti. I project them forth again at the beginning of a cycle.9.8Keeping My own prakrti under control, I project forth again and again the whole of this multitude of beings which are powerless owing to the influence of (their own) nature.9.9O Dhananjaya (Arjuna), nor do those 行動s bind Me, remaining (as I do) like one unconcerned with, and unattached to, those 行動s.9.10Under Me as the supervisor, the Prakrti produces (the world) of the moving and the non-moving things. Owing to this reason, O son of Kunti, the world revolves.
