音写

samaṃ kāyaśirogrīvaṃ dhārayannacalaṃ sthiraḥ . samprekṣya nāsikāgraṃ svaṃ diśaścānavalokayan

日本語

Holding 身体, head and neck erect and still, being steady, looking at the tip of his own nose-and not looking around;

English

Holding the body, head and neck erect and still, being steady, looking at the tip of his own nose-and not looking around;

解説 — 日本語

The Lord describes here the pose or Asana and the Drishti (gaze) in this verse.You cannot practise 瞑想 without a firm seat. If 身体 is unsteady? 心 will also become unsteady. There is an intimate connection between 身体 and 心.You should not shake 身体 even a bit. You should attain mastery over the Asana (AsanaJaya) by daily practice. You should be as firm as a statue or a rock. If you keep 身体? head and neck erect? the spinal cord also will be erect and the Kundalini will rise up steadily through the subtle nervechannel (Nadi) called the Sushumna. Sit in the lotus pose or the adept pose. This will help you in maintaining the nervous eilibrium and mental poise. You should steadily direct your gaze towards the tip of your nose. This is known as the Nasikagra Drishti. The other gaze is the Bhrumadhya Drishti or gazing between the two eyrows where the psychic centre known as the Ajna Chakra is situated. This is described in chapter V? verse 27. In Bhrumadhya Drishti direct the gaze towards the Ajna Chakra with closed eyes. If you practise this with open eyes? it may produce headache. Foreign particles or dust may fall into the eyes. There may be distr行動 of 心 also. Do not strain the eyes. Practise gently. When you practise concentration at the tip of the nose you will experience DivyaGandha (various aromas). When you concentrate your gaze at the Ajna Chakra you will experience DivyaJyotis (perception of supraphenomenal lights). This is an experience to give you encouragement? push you up in the spiritual path and convince you of the existence of transcendental or supraphysical things. Do not stop your Sadhana. Yogins and those Bhaktas who meditate on Lord Siva concentrate on the Ajna Chakra with the Bhrumadhya Drishti. You can select whichever Drishti suits you best.Though the gaze is directed towards the tip of the nose when the eyes are halfclosed and the eyalls are steady 心 should be fixed only on 自己. Therefore you will have to gaze? as it were? at the tip of the nose. In chapter VI? verse 25? the Lord says Having made 心 abide in 自己? let him not think of anything. Gazing at the tip of the nose will soon bring about concentration of 心.Whichever be the point selected? visualise your own tutelary deity there and feel His Living Presence.

The Lord describes here the pose or Asana and the Drishti (gaze) in this verse.You cannot practise meditation without a firm seat. If the body is unsteady? the mind will also become unsteady. 6.1The Blessed Lord said He who performs an 行動 which is his duty, without depending on the result of 行動, he is a monk and a yogi; (but) not (so in) he who does not keep a fire and is 行動less.6.2That which they call monasticism, know that to be Yoa, O Pandava, For, nobody who has not given up expectations can be a yogi.6.3For the sage who wishes to ascend to (Dhyana-) ヨーガ, 行動 is said to be the means. For that person, when he has ascended to (Dhyana-)ヨーガ, in行動 alone is said to be the means.6.4Verily, [Verily: This word emphasizes the fact that, since 執着 to sense objects like sound etc. and to 行動s is an obstacle in the path of ヨーガ, therefore the removal of that obstruction is the means to its attainment.] when a man who has given up thought about everything does not get attached to sense-objects or acitons, he is then said to be established in ヨーガ.6.5One should save oneself by oneself; one should not lower oneself. For oneself is verily one's onw friend; oneself is verily one's own enemy.6.6Of him, by whom has been conered his very self by 自己, his self is the friend of his self. But, for one who has not conered his self, his self itself acts inimically like an enemy.6.7至高の自己 of one who has control over the aggregate of his body and organs, and who is tranil, becomes manifest. (He should be eipoised) [These words are supplied to complete the sentence.] in the midst of cold and heat, 幸福 and sorrow, as also honour and dishonour.6.8One whose mind is satisfied with 知識 and realization, who is unmoved, who has his organs under control, is sadi to be Self-absorbed. The yogi treats eally a lump of earth, a stone and gold.6.9He excels who has sameness of view with regard to a benefactor, a friend, a foe [Ari (foe) is one who does harm behind one's back.], a neutral, an arbiter, the hateful, [Dvesyah is one who openly hateful.] a relative, good people and even sinners.6.10A yogi should constantly concentrate his mind by staying in a solitary place, alone, with mind and body controlled, free from expectations, (and) free from acisition.
