श्रीभगवानुवाच | अशोच्यानन्वशोचस्त्वं प्रज्ञावादांश्च भाषसे | गतासूनगतासूंश्च नानुशोचन्ति पण्डिताः ||११||
śhrī bhagavān uvācha aśhochyān anvaśhochas tvaṁ prajñā-vādānśh cha bhāṣhase gatāsūn agatāsūnśh cha nānuśhochanti paṇḍitāḥ
シュリー・バガヴァーンは言われた。「あなたは賢者の言葉を語りながら、嘆くべきでないものを嘆いている。真の賢者（パンディター）たちは、生ける者についても死せる者についても嘆くことはない。」
The Supreme Lord said: While speaking learned words, you are mourning for what is not worthy of grief. Those who are wise lament neither for the living nor for the dead.
これはクリシュナの最初の教えの節です。彼はすぐにアルジュナに挑戦し、哲学者のように語りながらも無知な者のように嘆いていると指摘します。「パンディター」（真の賢者）という言葉が重要であり、真の知恵とは知的な知識ではなく、魂が永遠であるという理解を指します。
This is Krishna's first teaching verse. He immediately challenges Arjuna: you speak like a philosopher but grieve like the ignorant. The word "paṇḍitāḥ" (the truly wise) is key — real wisdom is not intellectual knowledge but the understanding that the soul is eternal.
